A lot of companies are perpetuating a crazy rush to the bottom, sacrificing quality and worker safety for profit. We’re here to highlight that this exploitative way of doing business sucks big time, which is why we’re on a mission to raise the standards of the industry and create colorful essentials for people who strive to live responsibly, and act with care for people and planet.

People
At Colorful Standard, we’re on a mission to raise the standards within the fashion industry and make responsibly made wardrobe staples more accessible. We’re strive for true transparency and accountability across our supply chain and production practices, and produce in our own factory and nearby partner workshops in Portugal. Naturally, every supplier is covered by EU labor law.

Planet
We’re committed to reducing our environmental impact. That includes using certified organic cotton, recycled wool, and non-toxic dyes across our collection. We also use FSC® certified paper and recycled plastics in our packaging. Where possible, we dye our products based on demand.
All of our production takes place in Portugal, which helps reduce transport and gives us closer oversight. Our partner workshops are within close vicinity of our own factory.
Our factory runs on Portuguese grid energy. In the first half of 2025 approximately 77% of Portugal’s electricity was generated from renewables like wind, hydro, solar, and biomass.
We don’t believe in fast fashion or planned obsolescence. Our goal is to make garments that last. No logos, no seasonal waste. Just well-made staples, designed to stay with you for years.
B Corp Certification
Colorful Standard is a certified B Corporation™. In 2025, we met B Lab’s high standards for social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability, joining a global community of companies using business as a force for good.
B Corp certification is a holistic, third-party verification that evaluates a company across its entire business, including governance, workers, environment, community, and customers. It goes beyond product-level claims and assesses how a business operates as a whole.
Certified B Corporations commit to high standards and to balancing purpose and profit by considering the impact of their decisions on all stakeholders, not only shareholders.
For us, becoming B Corp certified reinforces the principles behind our Promise: responsible production, long-term thinking, and transparency across our supply chain. It marks an important milestone, while also holding us accountable to continuously improve.
